Day 23: The Day The Kappas Serenaded, And A Request

One of the social clubs on campus (since we're a Baptist university we can't officially call them sororities or fraternities), the Kappa Chi, had a serenade tonight. My dad helped found the club, so the Kappas always tend to perk my interest, if that makes any sense at all. The Kappa Men sing quite well, and their serenade in front of our dorm was so fun to listen to from our window! The qualities of our pictures aren't the best, but you get the point. :)

I also have a request, as we're coming upon our last week of school, I think it would be fun to have a sort of "Hall of Fame" of Project 30. If you, our readers, could comment on this post or any others, or you can shoot us an email (brittanyfhs@yahoo.com), and let us know which day has been your favorite, I'd appreciate it. It doesn't matter if we know you or not, we just want your feedback. We're planning to somewhat continue the blog throughout the summer and possibly doing a Project 365 during our Junior year. :)

Thanks,

-Brittany

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

  2. First of all, you two are so precious and provide me with entertainment when I seem to have developed insomnia,...it's 2.51 right now! geesh! You guys have come up with a great way to keep people far away updated and those who may not know how awesome you are, see what a light of God you have become through this blog! So I vote for the 365! (as impossible as it may seem!)

I must agree with Houston on the Hall of fame! It may just be because I feel so special to have made it on the blog... I am a bit partial, I guess! Other wise it would have to be the one where you guys are brushing your teeth and have teddys! (Forgot the name!)

    Anyways! Lovelovelove!

  3. I love your blog and I vote for day 14. I love the swinging pictures and the flowers. It is so fun to see you girls have a good time. I love how you are both maturing, yet keeping your "childlike faith" at the same time. It is great that you can have fun in the midst of your stressful college days.

I love how you are reaching so many people with this blog, so I vote yes for the 365 blog. Of course it is a little selfish of me because I love seeing what you are up to. It helps us parents be a little more a part of your life.

The sernades, oh how fun. The Kappas were always so good that every girl would just melt. The Betas were always good too. Of course the Kappas were the best since I was one of the first little sis.

Love you both and keep blogging.

  4. I vote for day 15 because I love the special gift and tradition your dad created with the Madame Alexander dolls. Plus, I just love your mom!!!

P.S. Here is a comment someone left me on my own blog when I mentioned your blog...
"her blog is so cool! i love that idea...she'd better think of another cool idea once the 30 days expires!"

  5. Has to be Day 23, Kappas serenading the ladies. If you think the Kappas can sing now, should have heard us back in the early days. Singing to the Beach Boys' tune Barbara Ann - "Looking for a date ... this will catch your eye ... don't look any further ... cause here's a Kappa Chi ... Barbara Ann ... Ba ... Ba ... Barbara Ann". It sure worked in sweeping your Mom off her feet.
